ABOUT ME — Hillary Bott Sorrentino

Thank you for visiting my site and viewing my work. I specialize in creating sophisticated and feminine illustrations and prints, through many mediums including watercolor, inks, Copic markers and gouache. I also utilize digital methods for creative and technical purposes, including technical textile repeats and color separations using Adobe software.

I earned a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 2002, with a degree in fashion design. I have been lucky enough to work in the fashion industry since graduation in both design and print. That experience helped to give me a special insight into the industry and how to service clients in the most creative and practical ways.

Born and raised on the east coast in the NY Metro area, now I live in the Denver suburbs with my husband and two boys. My home studio is a truly inspiring space. Here I keep a collection of vintage fabrics & a personal library of books related to graphic arts, fashion, botanical drawing, and art technique. I love to scour etsy or ebay for vintage wrapping papers and holiday cards to translate into my work. I also look to runway collections, fine art, museum visits, live sketching and old Hollywood films.
